Kung magpapalit ka ng tank soon, hindi na rin ganun katagal yun since cycled naman na yung mga live rocks mo, but always check the parameters. I understand the frustrations at pinagdadaanan ko ngayon yan with corals.

And then there's pH... typical carti water nasa 7.6-8.0 kung nasa 8.2 halimbawa ang pH mo. 0.2 malaking bagay na, lalo pa kung 0.4-0.6 within an hour. So pH at osmotic shock kagad bumulaga sa isda mo. Andiyan pa yung temp.

Imagine galing sila sa dagat, tapos transport papuntang exporterd then tapon papuntang carti then transport uli papunta sa tank. Sa transit pa lang ammonia na and decreased O2. And then andyan pa yung odds na nahawa na siya sa sakit. Or cyanide caught.

In short, sobrang stressed na nung isda bago mo pa nabili, maa nacompound pa yung problema dahil sa swings during transit and acclimation. Marami magsasabi yung isda nila okay lang kahit hindi in-acclimate ng maayos pero why risk it? :)
Cheers,
Marty

With 1.009-1.012 salinity level of water on fishes, to reach and put LS in 1.025 tank, I think a minimum of 3 days acclimation would improve the chances of your LS surviving.

with your tank water, do 1/3, 1/4, 1/2 change. Problem is, if 1.012 is the bag water.... that means your water is just a small containers worth, the fish would be severely stressed in such a small space.

darating ka rin dyan sir, patience lng po and just keep researching. :) actually bata pa ung tank ko, 5 months old, so i have a long way to go pa hehe. I'm not sure if the chaeto helps, hehe nakikiuso lng, siguro pag tinanggal ko sya dun ko mapapansin if may tulong sya tlaga sa filtration ko.

always remember to put your LS sa quarantine tank before sa DT.
mahirap magkaron ng ich sa DT. you have to wait for a month bago ka makapaglagay ulit. :)
