Pogi the CBB

Meet Pogi, a carti-bought CBB that's about 3 (or 4?) years old





He was initially trained to eat aiptasia, but was more inclined to eat peeled shrimps. Handfed too.

I'm trying to feed him other seafood for variety, so far he's been eating mysis shrimps and dulong (anchovy fry) aside from the usual suahe and sugpo.

He's still aloof when other people are around, although he will feed voraciously from my hand if I am alone at the tank

He has not bothered any of my corals, corallimorpharians, zoanthids, clams or anemone. Although I've seen him peck on a dying brain during a very nasty bacterial outbreak that wiped out my trachyphyllia radiata brains last week. Good candidate for a large reef tank. I would not put a CBB in a tank shorter than 6ft, as they are very active swimmers and can get big easily.

Seriously, pag medyo horizontal raw ang beak, lalake daw ang CBB.
Not quite sure if that is true though.

Anyway, regarding CBBs being reefsafe, nagtopak si pogi at pinapak niya yung clam na matagal na rin niyang kasama sa previous tank niya.. Kailangan ata talagang pakainin sila madalas para mawala yung nipping tendencies nila.

So far hipon/sugpo, fish fry, mysis at chickeb meat (lol) ang kinakain niya.

So far 0.5ppm pa rin ako pero grabe nung naga-adjust pa lang siya sa tank, sobrang dumi ng tubig ko pumalo ako ng 160ppm! Ilang weeks ding brown yung sandbed ko dahil sa diatoms. Mas gusto niya pag sobrang nipis ng pagkahiwa nhng meat (especially shrimp or prawn meat) May isa pang cbb pero nasa QT pa rin.

@jourds 5ppm no3 pala mistype. haha ayaw kumain ng aips ever since natuto sa prepared food. buti wala akong aips haha
may long nose ako dayi kaso namatay after 1 month, pero malakas din kumain. iniisip ko nga baka may sakit kasi galing carti. next time sa rvs ako kukuha.
nakakatakot naman sayo trigger haha bumubutas ng lata yan!
