Longnose & Copperband Butterfly Fish on Reeftank

I put this 2 butterflyfish on my tank with lots of lps. So far hindi sila kumakaen ng corals. My longnose is a month ago and my copperband is 3 days pa lang.

Seems the longnose is pecking on something, but definitely not the zoa colony I suppose. What's the diet of the longnose? It's quite interesting to note that the longnose butterflyfish has almost 99-100% "reef-safeness." Was planning to get one in my reef tank, but am still quite unsure. Any inputs sirs?

Masipag sya maghanap ng mga worm at copepads sa mga LR specially sa mga small hole, thats why sa video his nipping under the LR. Yung Copperband naman kinakaen nya yung mga glass anemone at aiptasia. Parehon din silang kumakaen ng flakes pag nagpapa kaen ako.

But if we did find a healthy specimen, IMO, it would be a great addition, considering that it is one of the most hardy butterflyfish.

to risky and to early to conclude kung hindi gagalawin ng longnose ang corals...
kasi dun sa video i saw the longnose staring at a coral mga 3 seconds din yun...
pwede kasing ngayon hindi nya gagalawin pero pag nagtagal who knows...

Can we suppose it to have the case like that of the flame angel? (i.e. 50-50, varies from individual to individual)

Hmmm, maganda siguro yung cbb pang control lang aiptasia, wag mo patagalin sa tank para hindi magdevelop ng taste for corals..kasi ang hirap tanggalin aiptasia isaisa

I consider Longnose as safe sa mga lps, ewan ko lang sa sps kasi wala pako sps sa dt ko. Mahilig lang talaga mag nip ang longnose sa mga hole ng LR. I think thats why they have a pointed long mouth. Thats my observation. So far walang ginagalaw sa mga LPS ko.
About sa CBB naman its to early to conclude because its been a day pa lang sa dt ko. Lets wait for how many days or week kung kakaen sya ng mga LPS.

Until now Both Butterfly is not nipping any of my corals. Even my Moorish Idol is behave.

because of you bro, naglagay ako ng long nose sa fowlr ko.. might try moorish and copperband.. medyo successful yung kite butterfly ko..

angelfish im not so sure pwede sa reef.. i've had blue face and emperor.. both will eat lps (brains, cynarinas), zoas, and litophytons.. 1 rock of full of zoas the size of a hand lasted for 1 night only.. maybe mushrooms pwede pero i remember greg na may blue face sa reef.. after some time, it ate his mushrooms..
