i don't think they burrow.. my firefish pair comes out when lights are open, when lights are off, they rest on one corner of my LR..

Yes, they do create burrows, but they only use them as passageways under rockscapes or as a quick escape route when feeling threatened.

IME my firefish always rests and sleeps in a shallow depression in the sand, sya nga yung nagbabantay sa labas ng burrow ng yellow watchman goby ko eh
