ALERT - SUNBURST ANTHIAS NOT EATING - HELP

i have a sunbust anthias in my tank that has not yet eaten since i placed him in thursday last week.

so far, i have tried the following food but thus been unseccesful:

- newly hatched brine shrimp
- cyclopeeze
- frozen brine shrimp
- frozen bloodworm
- frozen DIY food
- Ocean Nutrition 2

he's round and about the tank most of the time and taking shade from the light from time to time.

this is my second attempt to keep one since the first one died of starvation after three weeks.

if there are anyone who has been successful in training them to eat frozen or prepared food, kindly share your experience and the secret to your success.

bro dika ng iisa pareho tyo..ngtatago din yung sunburst ko.50/50 tlga bro.hopefully it will eat na mga anthis natin..dapat cguro linagay muna ntin sa hatchery box tpos train ntin kumain.

Naku ganyan din nangyari sa sunburst ko. After 2 wks nadeds kc ayaw kumain. Nakatago lng plagi sa bato.

@ rockster, i think di na gaano stressful sa kanya situation sa tank. madalas sya nasa labas namamasyal from the time i leave the house in the morning to the time i arrive at night paminsan minsan lang sumisilong sa caves hehehe. yeah, i guess he still needs some time. hanggang maaga kasi sana ayoko matulad dun sa una.

knock on wood boom, sana i could save it in time this time :lol:

Ito try mo lang liver ng beef. Read it before walang masama kung i-try. Blender as in parang paste na ata. Nasa beta box pa ba? Mas okay kung asa box pa para ma-monitor mo kung okay sya.

Beta box is useful to train your anthias and other fishes. Bro you can try adding PVC pipe inside the beta box for the fish to hide and try it with blue light.

jen, raw ba or blanched? me salt, pepper toyo o mayonaise? :lol:

naku wala na sa beta box nirelease ko na after a day sis kasi restless sya nung nilagay ko sa beta box inisip ko baka lalo ma stress e kasi yung kasama nya (dalawa kinuha ko) e na deads agad sa beta e.

lakeman, wala na sa beta bro. i introduced him in the beta box after lights out.

hi all, thanks for all that chimed in. as of last night, the anthias has already started eating a few hatch brine. not as much as i want him to but better than none at all. he also ate a few this morning.

at least ngayon, hindi na sya nakatanga lang pag nag fi-feed ako. what i did is to feed my other fishes first with their normal diet then before matapos sila, i feed the anthias the hatched brine para wala sya masyado kaagaw while he also see the other fishes eating.

i will continue feeding him hatched brine but will mix it with frozen brine to hopefully entice him to go for the frozen one.

Dalaw ko one time pagsinipag ko magdrive rocks mo nandun parin sa bahay. Biglang nagbusy ang sched ko sorry.
