For 30g, its better to buy PAR38 LEDs from our sponsors. Medyo complicated. But if you really want to try, it will cost around 3-4k if branded drivers

One good thing on led.. mahal sa simula pero in the long run mas makakatipid ka dahil sa life span nya.. less heat din at less gastos sa electricity bill.. :) hth

ahh ganun pala, well yung tank ko is standard lang na 35gallons 30inches width mga 20inches height...
siguro yung mga corals a plan ko i keep eh low light lang at hindi masyado maselan, just to start me off with something.
para ma feel ko lang kung kaya ko mag alaga ng corals, if i could keep up sa pag alaga sa kanila
so what do you recommend? guys..
talga bang uubos ng 3-4k para sa lights? for my tank?

Based from my 6 months experience doing experiments on 3W LEDs,

For a 2ft deep tank, Average cost: P250 per 3W (this includes the cost of lense, heatsink, fan, adaptor, driver)

Assuming you need 2.5 Watts per gallon for SPS

2.5W x 35G = 87W / 3W * P250 = P7,250

For LPS at half the PAR

1.25W x 35g = 44W / 3W * P250 = P3,666

These are just estimates based on several LED builds that I have done. You can lower the cost by using unbranded Drivers, non dimmable drivers, unbranded LEDs, not use Lense if you have shallow tank, etc.

I'm not sure about the price of PAR38 but I think it's almost the same. The advantage of DIY is the dimming and you can separate the channel of blues and whites using 2 drivers.

Reef Masters: my apology for the ratios used for SPS and LPS. I may be wrong or maybe I'm almost near to being right on my assumptions.

Hope this helps
