How to design live rock?

Hi mga Master,

Question pano ko ba pag didikitin ung mga live rocks ko kc minsan ung mga tao sa bahay nasasangi ung aquarium ko at bumabagsak ung rocks pati ung corals ko...

pano ko ba epag didikit ung mga live roks ko para may design and anong brand ng pang dikit ang bibilin... localy ha...

galing kc ako sa Ace Hardware at ang binibenta skin silicon tpos patuuin ko raw ng 24 hrs ang problema ko since ung live rocks ko marami ng organism baka lahat un patay after 24hrs...

What do you choose kung kayo?

epoxy?
silicone?
cable ties?

combination of tie lock and aqua epoxy clay para mas secure specially if large chunk of LR. if for the purpose of sticking corals skeleton and frag disk, aqua epoxyclay will suffice. If you will use silicone, just make sure you will do it outside of your tank and cured it several days before introducing to your tank. Toxins are released during the curing process of the silicone. Even reef safe silicone is not reef safe for 24-48 hours, depending upon how thick it was applied. BTW, I used this type of epoxy clay.

15 minutes work life and totally cures in 30 minutes to 1 hour. you can use inside the tank without causing any problem to your LS.

You could do a rockscape using dried rocks and Pioneer non-sag epoxy A+B sold in ace, handyman,true value. 24-48 hours curing time. You have to have supports for your rocks while drying up the epoxy para di gumalaw. But after curing super tibay.

Silicone will not bond to rocks, IME.

Waterstop, epoxy clay (like what Arnold mentioned earlier) and aquaclay are fine to use. It would be good to use cable ties as well.
