DIY 10w Multichip LED Build

Bill of materials:

3 10w 15000k + 455nm Hybrid multichip
2 10w 20000k + 455nm Hybrid multichip
2ft large heatsink from T. Alonzo (Aluminum Power - name of the shop)
5 10w individual led drivers from ebay
wires, electrical tape
drill with cobalt HSS drillbit from your favorite hardware

Nice build po ah. Tanung lang po kuya seth, pano po kayu nag-order dyan sa site ni ac-rc? Trusted source po ba itu? Ilang weeks po bagu dumating yung LEDs niu? Ganda kasi ih gustu ku na rin gumawa nyan. hihihi

@calvin supposedly dapat 2 weeks lang eh. Kaso yung kasabay ko na umorder ng Cree at EpiLEDs mabagal kumuha nagka-dengue pa. Inabot tuloy ng 3 weeks mahigit.

Sir kelangan ba ng optics yan or pede rin exposed lang?

Ilang watts ba dapat ang minimum to keep a reef tank? I'm just using an 8-watt tube LED light at FOWLR lang naman, though may mga nakita na rin ako na mataas na tube LED lights

the watts per gallon guide is very inaccurate and irrelevant. Pero kung gagamit ka ng multichips, ang rough guide as per my experience ay isang 10w multichip per 9" to a square foot cube na area (9x9x9" to 12x12x12"). So kung standard 50 gallon tank, more or less 4-5 pcs kung reef, without lens at a distance of 5-6" away from the water surface.

kailangan mo ng acrylic sheet para magsilbing splash guard. di ko pa kasi tapos yung ilaw ko pero dapat sa lahat ng LEDs maging waterproof yung pinaka-array... or else mapupundi kagad dahil sa saltcreep at humidity.

Sir nag gawa na din ako ng multichips.. Sad to say nagbayad ako ng tax sa customs..hays
Problem ko lang sir kumakalas yung adhesive niya sa side ng chips. Ano kaya maganda gawin?
Saka sobrang ganda nga at ang lakas ng multichips..hehe
