water proofing a bonsai

im scrapping the paper mache bonsai baka kasi hindi sturdy enough too carry corals...
this is my new plan... bonsai made with modelling clay, nabili ko sa national bookstore then ako na lang nag form, plates will hold the corals... now my problem is pano ko sya i water proof im thinking of white cement but i dont how paging haring pagong... pwede kaya resin na lang dito or epoxy paint? ano recommendation nyo guys?

haring pagong talaga eh... baka gusto mong mag-alay ng isang tali ng kangkong!

hindi ako sure kung ano magiging reaction ng epoxy paint o resin sa clay but since may wax ang clay maaaring hindi mag-cure ng maayos yung resin o epoxy paint (w/c btw is toxic) or hindi kumapit ng maayos; so malulusaw lang yung clay after a couple of hours once submerged. pwede ring malusaw yung clay sa epoxy paint... ngayon kung talagang desidido ka sa clay, i suggest cement na lang gamitin mo or thoroseal (pwede rin thoroplug kung gusto mo ng mabilisan)

bakit hindi mo na lang tinuloy yung paper mache? matibay din yun ah... pero instead na ordinary white glue ang gamitin mo, gamit ka nung wood glue ng pioneer. tapos haluan mo ng cement yung mixture.

Chief, why not just do aragacrete? Like those at the GARF website?

bro rocky... walang maliit nyan. P500+ isang lata nyan... you can also go the aragocrete way... and i would prefer that over the other options. gumawa ako nyan using cement lang and crushed hollow blocks...
