use a pvc for this
at the bottom of the pvc drill 4 small holes, this is where the water will flow thru and stir the kalk at the bottom
just keep in mind that the outlet of the canister should now be the inlet
heres a video link of a diy kalk reactor, diff. canister but same princinple

Reviving this thread (sorry!).
Questions:
1. The pvc hits all the way to the bottom? Meaning: if you don't drill holes, no water can flow through (except for leaks, since it's probably not 100% watertight).
2. What size PVC is that?
3. Do you think a peristaltic dosing pump (50mL/min) is strong enough to mix the calcium hydroxide? i.e., baka you need a stronger pump so that it can mix it better.
4. Do you, from time to time, have to shake it to mix it up? Or the entry of the water is enough.
I decided to get the longer canister (10" canister was P899; 20" was P1,300) -- I'm thinking that the longer canister would make sure the slurry/solids won't make it up, so only the clarified one will be used.
Again, sorry for reviving this thread, but it's the only one I saw locally.
Cheers!
