Overdue update... (Day 9-10)

not much of an update but here it is... I couldn't wait for the glass yesterday so i decided to install the walls of the tank already. Shown below is the edge of the walls that will rest on the base of the tank. It was covered with a thick layer of epoxy prior to screwing to the base.

walls of the main tank after screwing them to the base. the screws that were used here were 2 inches long

Image
the exterior of left side before the screws were tightened.

Image
spray bar to be placed on the right side of the main tank. i broke three pipes before achieving this one. lol!

more to come... thanks for viewing.

DAY 12-13

The following were taken yesterday. All the interior walls of the sump were already installed. Epoxy primer was intended to be done today but due to some minor set backs it will be accomplished tomorrow instead. All panels were glued using construction grade silicone before screwing them down.

This is where the water would go from the main tank. The pre-filtering chamber and the front wall was made today and will be installed tomorrow.

back of the return chamber
Image

the glass was picked up this morning and will also be installed tomorrow so monday will be dedicated to painting (hopefully). now if i could only borrow a digicam again... sino ba meron dyan? lol!

thanks for viewing.

DAY 19

i apologize for the lack of update... ngayon lang ako nakahiram ng cam. lol!

this was taken a few days back using a cfone. the right window was installed by gluing it to the base using epoxy and fastened by 2-inch wood screws.
Image

Image

Image

the front wall of the return chamber will have shelves for storage. this will be coated with epoxy paint tomorrow.
Image

the rear of the sump. first coating of epoxy paint was done yesterday
Image

second coating was done today. third will be done tomorrow.
Image

70% done... the base of the main tank is going through its second coating of epoxy.

DAY 20

most of the day was consumed by correcting the wood of its minor errors. also did the first pair of cabinet doors and the partial background of the rear wall. the sump wasn't coated today because of the rain. hopefully it will be done by tomorrow...

cab doors. making doors is my least favorite part of every build. lol!
Image

Image

i'll finish the BG tomorrow...
Image

partial covering of the rear wall...
