[Help] Sump setup for upcoming 25g AIO reef tank

Good day!

Newbie here, hoping to start within the next 2 weeks (hindi ko na kaya ang pagpupyat sa research dahil sa excitement!). Will be getting my led bulb later hence commited na ako for SW and not FW. Planned display tank will be around 24gals and mga 6-8 gals siguro additional water from sump (di ko pa macalculate). Contacted Mang Ramon(?) via text kahapon but no reply pa kung saan sana loc nya and price point

Ask lang po sana ako feedback with regards to my sump. This will be something like Leica's (http://reefphilippines.com/forums/viewt ... 17&t=16042) or Immortalbreaker's (viewtopic.php?f=21&t=17514) setup. Was hoping to do this low tech and low maint. Initially planned somethg like EJabadesco's 10g tank (viewtopic.php?f=21&t=16957&start=15) na skimmerless and eheim HOB lang kaso since mas malaki ito ng konti naisip ko isump na lang with skimmer plus an array of filtration via live rocks, chaeto, bio balls and ceramic rings. i just want to cover the bases, avoiding any spikes in mmonia, nitrates and iba pang hindi ko alam which can be harmful sa fishes and corals plus para kayang kahit every 2 weeks ang water change

Okay po ito ito as shown below?
Is it also okay for the return pump to sit above filtration media or does it have to be positioned at the bottom talaga?

Any feedback po will help pati na din sa other aspects aside from sump, maraming salamat!

DT: approx 25 gallons 26 (L) x 16 (W) x 14 (H)
Light : Par 30 full spectrum led (no idea yet sa wattage) from Immortalbreaker; 3 watt red+blue grow led bulb from ebay for sump
Skimmer: 2nd hand Resun Sk-300 (got a big area and kasya bigger skimmer but goal nga sana is low tech low cost low maint )
Substrate: fine sand to help nitro fixation
water: drinking water na dinedeliver, not sure if its mineral or RO, salt Blue Ocean (fevmarine) or Red Sea (carti)
Return pump : kaya na ba kung 300l/h ang return flow?
Powerheads: 3 watts okay na ba for 25 gal?
Planned livestock: 6 fishes (2 clowns, firefish, goby, chromis, yellow tailed blue damsel or anything blue (but not a Tang dot worry!), mga zoas ( i love zoa pics posted dito sa RP), and an anemone and xenia (pulsing if kaya budget haha)

Some tips

Use coarser sand. Fine sand nagamit ko, lagi na imomove ng flow from wavemaker. hassle

For wavemaker, cheapest you can try is sunsun with 3000lph flow rate.. Around 30x waterflow na yun for your display. Add lang if you feel kulang pa.

For return, try mo rio aqua plus 600 or 800. Rio 400 una ko gamit medyo nahinahan ako, kaya pinalitan ko ng 600. Also place mo siya sa bottom, para di agad abutin ng water level pag bumaba due to evaporation. Make sure na yun return section kaya accomodate at least yun daily evaporation mo. Kung hindi matutuyuan ka and masira yun pump. Sakin umabot ako 3lit evaporation last summer.

For baffles, sakin di na need un bubble trap. Also ang pros nun single baffle is maiiwasan yun build up ng surface scum sa skimmer at fuge section.

Yun bio balls at ceramic pwede ng wala.

You could also make the chaeto section and the return section as one section, just use plastic canvass or screen as divider, that way merun kang isang malaking return section. That solves the evaporation issue.

But if you really want a small return section, install an auto top off.
