STAR POLYP CORAL dying due to too much light?

Hi mga ka reefer, napansin ko lang kasi yung red star polyp coral ko parang curly na siya and nag fade pagkatapos kung mag upgrade ng light.

LED SPECS: Dimmable 30w
5 x royal blue
5 x 10000k

Yung sa center lang ang napansin ko na nagfade and curly pero yung sa side healthy pa tingnan. Please advise..

obserbahan mo reaction nya now that you decrease light levels. pag gumanda its the light pag hindi pa din
check your parameters na.

For the record update lang I lost almost half of my red star polyp corals, wala ako ibang suspect but due to too much light.
3 inches lang ang distance ng led light ko from the water surface. Next move ko po ay to set the light to 50% intensity and without 90 degree lens... Any suggestion po mga karefer?

Good thing all other corals are looking good.

As far as i know all gsp like intense lighting. The lesser the light they get either bleach or die. I think maybe it's your parameters ang may problema not the lighting. HTH

This is only my opinion, and base on my experience lang. Let's wait for others experinces and advices..

I agree. How's your tank temp and alkalinity? Try to frag the mother colony and put the frags on different locations. Kung ganun pa rin, then something else may be the culprit
