Yesterday did a 5 gallon water change (WC) on my aquarium. Used Instant Icean (IO) Saltmix to replace the removed water and dissolved it in RO water. I also bought the API Saltwater Testkit and here are the results. These are my first time results.

pH = 8.2
Ammonia (NH3) = 0.25 ppm
Nitrite (NO2) = between 0.25 to 0.00 ppm (can't determine the specific color)
Nitrate (NO3) = 5.0 ppm

I was surprised na for almost a week ay mababa na agad yung mga parameters ko. I think kasi nung binili ko sa cartimar yung liverocks ay nasa curing process ata yung mga batong nabili ko. Taking note also di po ako gumamit ng live sand.

I changed also the canister filter into Hang-On-Back filter (with floss, activated carbon) para di hassle maglinis and walang nakablock sa ibabaw ng aquarium.

Bro di ba masyado malapit yung LED sa water surface? or baka sa pics lang.

Also yung stand, may mga marks na ng saltwater. Make sure coated yan ng marine epoxy/paint kasi mabilis kalawangin pag hindi.

Yung iba nag add ng shrimp to jump start the nitrogen cycle.. Pero ok naman din wala.. Good job! Diba mas ok HOB filter? Ano plan mo na isda at corals? Wag k muna mag WC habang cycling..

Yang corals na yan d ko rerecommend.. Gonio mahirap mabuhay.. Yung iba mahaba tentacles.. Mauubos agad space mo sa tank..recommend ko mushrooms like actinos and ricordeas, zoanthids, brains, plates, tapos leather corals like sarcophyton, toadstool, colt coral.. Google mo na lan mga yan.. Add lighting ka na lang pag kulang..

2 nemo at firefish tapos 1 goby ok na.. I would not recomend adding any of the 3 na malaki.. Unang una, mahirap mabuhay moorish.. Koran kumakain ng corals.. Blue tang malakas tumae.. Patay ka sa nutrients (nitrates and phosphates) niyan.. Lalake sila.. 6ft tank sila minimum sana..

Mga master asked ko din kung may mga gumagamit ba or interested sa planted saltwater aquarium? Nakita ko sa internet na color red.

Nagtest ako this morning at medyo tumaas yung mga readings. I wonder why.

Don't be, nagsisimula na kasi yung nitrogen cycle ng tank mo.
