i prefer doing 10% wc every week rather than using yung mga GFO, rowaphos at phosgard.

HTH

thanks sirs symphii and aarongo222!

i will try to reduce the phosphate through water changes muna.

may mga bago na polpys sa frag discs ng zoas which weren't there when i first got them so i think that's a good sign that the corals are thriving.

just a recap, i cycled for 2 months. added corals 3 weeks ago and a few days aways from having a 3 month old tank. i'm thinking of adding more corals but i dont know if i should add fish first.

fish then corals or more corals then fish?

edited to add parameters as of this morning:
ammonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates 0
phosphate 0.25-0.5

Hindi kasi dapat binibigla ang GFO or other phosphate absorbing media, just like any other media. :) Nilalagay yan in small increments dahil mataas ang pH ng phosphate absorbing media. (Dahil sa hydroxide part nila). Been using gfo for years, never naman akong nagkaproblema. Think of it as contingency and a preventative measure against algae outbreaks.

Cheers,
Marty

20% water change this morning and tested the water several hours later.

zero ammonia and nitrates

still 0.5 phosphate.

i even cleaned/rinsed ceramic noodles. should i just take those out and just leave the black sponge and white sponge?

Added fish after week 17.

Added additional corals after week 18.

Still not sure about coral placement. Recommendations more than welcome. Also, I have zoas on a frag disc that seem to have trouble spreading.
