D-D ROWAphos GFO Phosphate Removal Media

Note: mesh bag sold separately
PHP 280 for Emperor Aquatics, Inc. filter media bag 4 in x 8 in (300 micron)
PHP 190 for Boyd Enterprises Chemi-bags - 2 pack 5 in x 11.5 in

Typical dosage:
Freshwater - 100 grams per 200 US Gallons (800 Liters)
Saltwater- 100 grams per 100 US Gallons (400 Liters)

Feed Your Fish and Not Your Algae

Rowaphos is the professional method of removing Phosphate and Silicate in all types of Aquariums and Ponds.

RowaPhos is guaranteed to remove more phosphate than any other product worldwide.

In freshwater or salt water aquariums phosphates will feed nuisance algae which can overrun plants and expensive corals spoiling the aesthetics of the tank and in extreme cases killing its inhabitants.

Within the reef aquarium, phosphates will greatly affect the formation of coral skeletons by reducing calcification by over 50% and by inhibiting the deposition of strontium. It is suggested by Borneman that phosphates are a direct poison to calcification.

RowaPhos is a unique and patented, man made ferric hydroxide material chemically engineered for the efficient removal of phosphates, arsenic and silicates from fresh and salt water, having initially been developed in Germany for treating mains water supplies.

RowaPhos should not be confused with natural materials, which are generally based on aluminium oxide, (zeolite) or even other iron based products which claim to be the same product from other manufacturers. Only Rowa make RowaPhos and any other iron based material is simply a copy with a completely different chemical structure and properties.

RowaPhos has the largest absorption ability of any phosphate product worldwide and will not leach back in to the water. This saves the need for immediate removal once the media is exhausted. The product is easy to use and will improve the water quality wherever Phosphate or Silicate is a problem.

It is of interest to Marine and Reef Aquariums where its unrivalled capabilities have shown it to be extremely beneficial in the control of nuisance algae’s and the growth of hard corals.

Constant use of the product is recommended, as its abilities to control nuisance algae is a major benefit.

In an independent series of tests carried out by the Berlin Technical University on the five most commonly used phosphate removers at that time, RowaPhos was found to be the most efficient in removing phosphate from water. Other medias tested reached only to 30 – 40 % of its removal capacity by weight. Additionally RowaPhos was found to continue to remove phosphates at lower concentrations and had a higher maximum holding capacity.

Since these tests many ferric products have been brought out which ride on the performance of the Rowa product and some even claim to be the same, however RowaPhos UNIQUE and its patented manufacturing process cannot be copied.

Seachem Laboratories Purigen

SeaChem Purigen is a premium synthetic adsorbent that is unlike any other filtration product. It is not a mixture of ion exchangers or adsorbents, but a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from water at a rate and capacity that exceeds all others, even HyperSorb, by over 500%. Purigen; removes proteins, nitrites and nitrates, ammonia, and a broad spectrum of organics, yet its impact on trace elements is minimal. It significantly raises redox. It polishes water to unparalleled clarity. Like HyperSorb, Purigen darkens progressively as it exhausts, and is easily renewed by treating with household bleach. A 100 mL bag of Purigen purifies and polishes up to 100 gallons of water for up to six months. Purigen is designed for both marine and freshwater use.

AquaMaxx BioMaxx Plus BioPellets Filter Media - 32fl oz

PHP 1,400

AquaMaxx BioMaxx Plus BioPellets improve water quality for fish and other marine life in saltwater aquariums. BioMaxx Plus BioPellets initiate a more efficient denitrification process that removes nitrate and phosphate from aquarium water. High nitrate and phosphate fuels algae growth and may negatively impact invertebrate or coral.

Using BioMaxx Plus BioPellets inside a fluidized filter (media reactor) will help to achieve maximum results and efficiency. Use 0.5 to 1 liter of pellets for every 125 gallons of water. Starting with a low dosage and increasing over time is preferable to beginning with a higher dosage. Be sure to rinse the media before use.

Instructions

1. Fill your fluidized media reactor with the appropriate amount of AquaMaxx BioMaxx Plus BioPellets.

2. Use a ball valve (or similar device) to adjust the flow inside the reactor so that the BioPellets are suspended within the reactor chamber. The pellets should not be pushed to the top.

3. Check your media reactor once each day to ensure your BioPellets are still fluidized. The pellets will slough layers and decrease in size due to the tumbling action inside the reactor. Replenish your reactor every 3 to 6 months (or as needed) with additional BioPellets.

Seachem Laboratories CupriSorb Copper Remover

SeaChem CupriSorb is a powerful adsorbent of copper and heavy metals. CupriSorb will remove copper more rapidly and efficiently than carbon and is thus ideal for emergency copper removal. It extracts all types of copper from water and, if in continuous use, from the gravel/substrate bed as well. CupriSorb will allow maintenance of invertebrates in copper-treated tanks by removing copper leaching from substrates. A 1 L container is adequate for up to 600 gallons and removes over 3,000 mg of copper or 12 ppm in 600 gallons. It may be regenerated repeatedly. Marine or freshwater use. CupriSorb can be used by placing in a canister filter, media filter, high flow area of a trickle filter or sump.

PHP 2,080
Seachem Laboratories De*nitrate
4 L

SeaChem de*nitrate is a high porosity filtration product for the removal and control of nitrate in marine and freshwater aquaria by anaerobic denitrification. It is a porous inorganic solid about 4 mm in diameter. It does not require a special denitrifying filter or special culture feedings. It is also helpful in controlling nitrite and ammonia. The surface area characteristics of de*nitrate are similar to Matrix, making de*nitrate an effective support for the biological filter. Each liter treats up to 100 gallons. Marine or fresh water use.

PHP 2,080
Seachem Laboratories Matrix
4 L

SeaChem Matrix is a high porosity biomedia that provides efficient biofiltration for the removal of nitrogenous waste. Matrix is a porous inorganic solid about 10 mm in diameter. Each liter of Matrix provides as much surface (<162 m) as 40 liters of plastic balls! Plastic bio-materials provide only external surface area, whereas Matrix provides internal macroporous surface area. These macropores are ideally sized for the support of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria. This allows Matrix, unlike other forms of biomedia, to remove nitrate along with ammonia and nitrite, simultaneously and in the same filter. Matrix is completely inert and will not breakdown. It need not be replaced. Use 1-2 Liters of Matrix for each 100 gallons. Since the majority of the bacteria are internal, Matrix may be rinsed when needed without damaging the filter. Matrix is compatible with all types of wet or wet-dry filters. Marine or freshwater use.

AquaMaxx 200 Micron Filter Sock

4" Ring Diameter; 10-11" approx. length.
PHP 270

7" Ring Diameter; 16-17" approx. length
PHP 400

Filter socks are the most convenient form of mechanical filtration. They remove excess food, detritus, organic waste, dust, and other particulates. Removing these particulates from the water column will reduce the amount of organic matter that produces ammonia and other undesirable substances in the aquarium. Filter socks also help prevent larger objects, such as sand, crabs, snails, etc. from damaging pump motors. Regular filter sock use will lower organic levels and result in CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER!

*NOTE: Please rinse all filter socks prior to first use
