I had to turn off all of the wave making gadgets for me to take a good photo. Malinaw naman ang kinalabasan using my e90.

I have a few mangroves on my sump which really helps stabilize the salinity and absorb protein from the water.

I reside here in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. DIY halos lahat ang reef pod ko. From the pod to sump. I brought my test kits and hydrometer from manila. There's only one legit fish and aquarium store here in Puerto Princesa and unfortunately they do not sell any saltwater wet or dry goods.

The pod took almost all the space. May picture din ng mga baby mangroves. The big one sits on top of the small mangroves but I removed it for me to take a better photo of the DIY sump. The pod was built last June 2009. Finished everything in a month and never added anything since then. My school of shrimp fishes lang and a very small group of zoos ang fatalities since last year. Hindi ko na ginalaw toh. I never miss my weekly water changes and I blow-off the detritus off the very thin layer of sand once a week with a small powerhead.

Right beside the UV sterilizer are the baby mangroves =) Grown from seeds to seedlings =) Pansin ko ang bagal nila lumaki. 1 yr na yang mangroves na yan.

Basket of micro fiber filter and medium size mangrove removed to get a better view of the very simple filtration sytem.
