Hi Chuck,
here's the pic of the unidentified coral that I had mentioned. The frag that I have isn't that big. When I got it, there were others frags of the same available but most of them couldn't fit in my container so I decided to get the smallest available, which still didn't fit so I had to hurry and purchase a container, but anyway, that's another story.
Apologies if the pics aren't that good:

Wow, thats a tough one! Sadly though, I need more details to try. I'll probably need to see its skeletal structures in detail and will wait untill I can get a small frag to where I can cut out a small section and bleach all of its tissue off. But.. Since its a boring stormy saturday, I'll start going through what I have in the hopes that I might stumble upon something by chance. I also have a montipora that I am studying but will probably never know for sure. Thanks for taking the time and effort for the photos, that is indeed a very interesting coral.

I meant to ask also, is this its normal growth form? or does it form branches at all? I am positive that if I could see its corallite and Coenosteum surface without the corals tissue hiding such details, I could probably nail this down to a species. Unless of course its a montipora, then that case, it would almost be impossible.

Hey buddy, a frag of this is definitely heading your way once I can confirm who will be going to Cebu. I do believe Randell will be going there soon...
This is normal growth form. I'll try to take better pics but I fear it wouldn't help much at this point. You can make out polyp extensions in pics 2 and 3 but I haven't been able to properly ID it from the different sites I've checked.
