just be sure to put your air pump higher than the tank, especially for the auto-on air pump, to prevent the water from siphoning to the pump, but also applicable for the other models in case the battery dies.

an air tube check/flow valve would ensure no return of water. these little helpers cost cheap. mga less than 20 pesos.

@jackryan - there's a new air pump driven by several rechargable batteries in BioResearch. I'm not sure parang six batteries (9v?). Sa dami ng battery siguradong malakas ito. Dual out pa.

Problem is cost. P3K+++.

Hey Sid,

Sorry I missed your query earlier... yes at Carti, go for that LFS store. However, if your visiting MA E.Rod, they have for the price of php 150 a better built version (at least if you compare the type of materials used).

I haven't done it yet bro. But I already bought a couple of size D batteries and several battery-operated air pumps for the coming storm. I'm actually thinking of getting a 12V DC-powered air pumps so that I can connect to a car battery directly.

12v dc. sounds better. saan kaya meron?

paulimjada wrote:@jackryan - ok sa mababaw na tank yung auto-on battery powered air pumps. but if the tank is deep baka hindi umubra.

Also do not atomize the air (pass it through air wood) since you want to generate flow. A coarse air stone (or even no air stone at all) is better.

Won't it make a difference if you push or position the air wood at the bottom of the sand or something with longer hose ?

pag malalim na kasi medyo malakas na back pressure at hindi kaya ng battery operated pumps yung depth. tipong the pump is working but no air will come out.

a wrong move is to produce small fine bubbles in your main tank. kasi water movement lang naman need mo.

Well guys..... tama si paulimjada pag malalim gaya ng 100g hindi kaya as what I've experienced to my tank "DISASTER" :cry: :cry: now i shift to 12V car battery and bought power inverter for sure sayang livestock :lol:
