430nm LED

Postby jancorwin12 » Wed Apr 23, 2014 11:57 pm

I'm currently planning to customize my led setup and came across the use of 430nm. violet po ba ito (hyper violet) at effective po ba yung wavelength na ganito?

maraming salamat po sa mga magbibigay input!

428nm is one of chlorophyll A and some pigments' absorption maxima. Pinakamalapit na yang 430nm and it will be good for both growth and coloration. :)

BTW, check out the evil cluster build in nano-reef. Ang gamit lang nila typically ay isang 4000k neutral white bridgelux, 2 cyan, 2 blue, 2 royal blue and the rest puro 430nm violets. Hands down the best combination for growth and color rendition.
Cheers,
Marty

This is taken from different sites - advanced aquarist and nano-reefs to name a few

maraming salamat po sa napaka-informative na sagot. Mas mahal kasi yung 430nm compared sa common wavelengths, now I know na may equivalent value naman pala presyo niya. salamat ulit!

I browsing the net on the benefits but all I can find is for additional colorationg brought by corals trying to protect themselves from the UV light. Any inputs on this?

ano ibig sabihin ng usable radiation? dangerous to human health?

nope. safe yan. No need for LEDs below 400nm.

PAR - photosynthetically active radiation
PUR - photosynthetically usable radiation
