Overflow box outside the tank.. Pros and Cons

What will be the advantages and disadvantages of having your overflow box outside the tank?

One thing for me is hindi niya mahahrangan light and may give you some space.

Comments and suggestions are welcome as i'm thinking of converting my in-tank box to out-tank box

The advantage (and the original purpose) of the external overflow box or the calfo overflow is to maximize surface skimming, surface scum is skimmed out faster and you won't see an unsightly box inside your DT. The most obvious disadvantage would be space issues. The box would take a bit of space at the rear.

Just make sure the box is properly sealed and supported, you don't want it to suddenly crash because of the weight of the water and pipes while you're away.
