My opinion on lighting needs for soft coral tanks

agree with Phil, as always (great source of practical info)... during our visit to moalboal reef, i see the leathers, sinularias side by side with the sps... so following what i see in the reef, it is logical that they need high lights and even high flow.
just a little tip on t5 lights, for the standard 75g, its about 4' in length and it can fit the 54w t5... so if you have 75g, better to go with the 54w t5s... but, just a caution, make sure you use the correct ballast, maybe even overdriven (??) as most of the electronic ballasts around are under-rated (previous topic in this forum). Just verify this with the electrical experts like nanokiper.
the 39w T5s fit the 50g standard tanks (3') while the 24w T5s fits standard 20g (2').
Just my personal opinion.
