aiptasia in my fuge

I used to like them as well but then the started to spread and sting the corals and the clams. Well, you can lay claim to the best aiptasia tank, if that's what you want? :wink:

why not try to put copper banded butterflyfish? some people have a hard time training them to eat aiptasia, but maybe if you put it in your sump it will learn to eat the aiptasias then you can sell them as aiptasia eating angelfishes...

Ooops, sorry abyss. I was just kidding around.

I had a Copper Band Butterfly. All it did was eat all the feather dusters and tube worms and then it went for my clams. Traded him real quick.

its ok sir fugu.
I removed na my lato in the fuge. But then still found microlato. All i did was buried them with fine sand na lang. Matigok kaya? If not gamitin ko kaya heater namin? Bago ko lagay lato again gusto ko free from lato na yung fuge ko. what do yu think guys?

hindi yun mamamatay pag tinabunan mo lang. there are ways to get rid of it. just read around, kasi ilang beses ko na sinagot ito eh.

got read sa ibang thread kaso hindi lang clear sa akin yung injectionan ng lime juce, vinegar or calcium paste etc. kung makakaapekto sa water chem ko. Baka matigok naman fish ko. Disconnect ko muna ba main tank habang injection ng lime juice vinegar or calcium paste?

I use a lot of vinegar on my system to drip a super saturated solution of Kalkwasser. I've used as much as 70 ml of distilled vinegar with no adverse effects. It does not take more than 5 ml to inject the aiptasia using a syringe. Even if you had 10 aiptasias, that would still be less than 50 ml.

The kalkwasser paste used to kill aiptasia is made by mixing hot water and calcium hydroxide powder. Feed it to the aiptasia using an eye dropper or a syringe without the needle.

may iba ring paraan para mapatay ang mga aiptasia,bili ka ng maliit na elegance coral tapos lagay mo sa sump mo,pag naka bloom na ito kunin mo sya sa base tapos i press mo sya sa aiptasia for about 30sec. and for sure patay ang mga aiptasia mo.

btw be careful in handling elegance coral dahil nakakaputol ito ng kamay :wink:
