nitrate test kit problem (for API)

Hi rp, same here using api nitrate test kit. I forgot where did i read the instructions u need to divide by 4.4 to get the reading right. Coz api test all nitrates organic and inorganic.

For those having different result sa pag tetest ng water niyo using API, I think you should check the following:

1. Expiration Date ng bottle. Normally nasa harap un nakalagay sa may sticker bandang upper right. Make sure hindi pa expired yung test kits niyo.
2. Make sure to shake the test kits 1-2 minutes (or kung masipag kayo 5 minutes) before using it to make sure na nahalo ng maayos yung nasa loob ng bottle.
3. Make sure to clean the test tube (yung glass) right after getting the result.

This is my simple explanation why you should shake the test bottles before using it
Example natin ay isang Milo/Ovaltine since sigurado naman ako na lahat nakainom na nun
1. Try niyo gumawa ng milo/ovaltine sa clear glass bottle
2. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes
3. Makikita niyo magkakaroon ng dark and light color. naipon sa baba yng dark then sa taas yung light color (matabang yung light, matapang or pure yung dark)

So, same lang sa test bottles natin, kailangan natin ishake/ihalo ng maayos para yung pure na naiwan sa baba ay mag mix doon sa hindi pure na nasa ibabaw nito para pag labas ng drops, equal sila lahat.
