Batfish

Postby ruth27 » Sat Nov 13, 2010 11:43 pm

I just recently bought a pair of batfish (yun brown striped variety). Napansin ko the larger one has become aggressive on the smaller one, and just constantly chases the other. The fins of the smaller one show a bit of damage na due to nipping. They were both in my 50gallon QT, together with other fishes. Ganon ba talaga mga batfish? Or is this just a male-male or female-female aggression issue? Because of the aggression, I decided to separate them and put the smaller one in my 2.5gal tank. I know it's small but its the only other QT I have. Can I house this batfish for a few more weeks in this small tank? I'm hoping that when QT period is over (in 2weeks maybe), I'll be able to transfer them na in my 100gallon DT...baka by then since malaki laki na yun tank, they might not bully eachother too much. Does that make sense? Thanks!
