hi RP,

just wanted to share my tank hoping to get some feedback since i'm still a newbie in this hobby

Filtration
- overhead filter (4 compartments)
1 - purigen
2 - seagel
3 & 4 - matrix
- chaeto & agar algae in a Resun fish hatchery (care of @Coraladict443)
- no sump & just started going skimmer-less

Flow
- 1 Sequest 1600lph
- 2 Resun Waver 4000
- 1 Jebo 24W/28W (not sure about the rating... it came with the OHF)

Lighting
- 2 blue 21W t5 (front and back of canopy)
- 3 exhaust fans (1x4" and 2x3")
- 3 fans pulling air from outside canopy (1x4" and 2x3")
- 5 GE 5W LED Cool Daylight

- NO4 0
- PO4 2-5
- Ca 500ish
- Alk 12 dKh
... still trying to get the last 3 down to acceptable levels...

LS Fish
- 1 Scopas tang
- 1 juvenile lunar wrasse
- 1 yellow damsel
... there were supposed to be more but they recently died due to brookynella (i'm 80% sure)

LS Corals
- 1 big toadstool
- 2 very tiny toadstools
- 1 dead man's finger
- torch coral (i think more than 5 heads)

with regards to the dead man's finger coral...

How old is the tank? Did you cycle?

Yay for the tank thread! I'm assuming you've already cycled the tank before adding any LS. Re. the unhappy leather, since you've had a couple of fish deaths froom brooklynella, have you tested your ammonia levels? Also, I found that using more than the recommended amount of seagel makes my toadstool unhappy so you could try reducing the amount of chemical adsorbent media if you're "overcompensating". Finally, it may be shaded by the big toadstool. You can try separating it by using a hacksaw blade and "slicing" the rock the finger leather is on. I think the lights you have will keep your current LS "alive" but I recommend you save up and get some PAR 38 leds.

@sc0lex.. nkabili na ako ng ammonia test kit... and reading is 0 ppm.
i guess it is the my high phosphates, seagel, or the finger coral being overshadowed by the toadstool...

I think there's someone selling affordable and decent PAR 38's in the FB Group: "Philippine Saltwater/ Reef Livestocks Talk and Classified". The toadstool can handle being out of water for a while so it's ok to take the whole rock out of the water.

@sc0lex - salamat sa tips. I've taken half of the 250ml of seagel so will observe and see tomorrow if the corals would be happpier...

@immortalbreaker - salamat din sa tip at sa link... Ng try ako sa PAR30 kasi the PAR38 may not fit my canopy... However i'll get the dimensions of the person selling baka mg fit

The GE daylight LEDs are not very efficient because may diffuser sila.. it spreads the light instead na nakafocus sa tank.. so i would suggest to change it.. gamitin mo na lang sa bahay yan.. as you can see, hindi masyado nakabuka yung polyps ng corals mo maybe due to insufficient light..
don't focus to much on Ca and Alk.. your corals dont need them that much.. bababa din yan thru water change..
i would change the jebao pump.. masyado malakas (in terms of power usage and heat generated) for that small tank.. para kang may 24W na heater diyan sa tank mo..
