nag set-up ako ng 8gal tank with built in lighting, 2weeks palang sa ngayon with sand and liverocks (planning to put corals kapag 1month na ang tank) pag ka set-up ko the 1st day gumamit ako ng SEACHEM STABILITY daily yun for 1week followed instruction indicated at the back of the product.. tapos after 1 week naglagay ako ng TEST FISH, DOMINO DAMSEL, sabi ng iba HARDY fish daw yun, pero after a week which is pang 2nd week ng tank ngayon namatay yung domino damsel, a day before sya namatay napansin ko ayaw nyang kumain, tapos nung namatay sya nakitaan ko sya ng white string like poop sa anus nya.. what could it be? PA HELP MGA BOSSING.. kung meron dito PAMPANGA AREA na nagbebenta ng mga FISH and CORALS comment po, gusto ko bumili..

ito po balak kong gawin sa tank ko:
max 2 fishes (clowns)
max 2 cleaners (shrimps/crabs/hermit)
2 to 3 kinds of corals

1. effective ba ang stability?
2. may parasite kaya ang binili ko na DOMINO DAMSEL kaya namatay? sa LFS ko sya nabili dito sa PAMPANGA..
3. dahil namatay yung domino, kelan ako pwede maglagay ng fish ulit?
4. advisable ba na mag corals ako sa 8gal tank?
5. dahil malapit na ang summer meron bang corals na mabubuhay sa 30degree celsius? Kahit 2 lang sana.
6. advisable ba maglagay ng crabs/hermit sabi ng LFS dito kumakain daw kasi ng corals.
7. bad or good comments and suggestions are accepted.. basta makakatulong sa pag improve ng tank.

to answer your queries:

1. tried stability and so far wala akong naging problema, in your case di fully cycled yung tank and IMO its not a good practice na maglagay ng test fish. importante pa rin may test kit ka dahil si test kit lang makakapagsabi kung pwede ka na maglagay ng LS once fully cycled na yung tank and gradual stockings lang din ng LS while monitoring your parameters
2. white poop probably may parasite nga and its a good habit mag QT muna so you can observe and treat in cases of diseases
3. refer to number 1 andun na yung sagot kung kelan ka maglalagay ulit ng fish
4. pwede ka naman mag corals though keep in mind na madalas ang parameter swings sa mga nano/pico tanks compared sa bigger tanks, again constant monitoring ng parameters plus diligent husbandry
5. IMO 30 degrees is way too much, i kept mine between 25-27 degrees.. chillers/aircons/fans is a must since magsusummer na
6. regarding sa crabs, depende kung anog klase pero much better to check for compatibility first.. google is your friend dyan

Cycle your tank first. Don't "try" any more fish unless you have properly done a cycle. Maraming articles dito saka sa web on proper cycling.

+1 to cycling, getting a test kit and doing as needed based on its results. Tsaka read, read and read....and read.

Its a bit dated with regard to lighting, since then LEDs have really dominated reef lighting. But its topics about filter, flow and fuge/nutrient export are well-tailored for very small tanks, very clear and easy to follow IMO.
