My Nano Tank with African Softies

Postby gonzaimaki » Wed Feb 19, 2014 3:39 am

Will be setting up my Nano Tank here in West Africa..my House and Project is at the Beach side so all softies and livestocks will be free.

Setup:
16×16 Cube tank
Small Internal filter
6w wave maker

No sump
No skimmer
No tester
No chiller
No cycling
No proper lighting
No food for livestocks

No worries

Maintenance:

30percent water change every 3 days with seawater

TOO Radical...
Lets wait and see..
some of the guys here in RP already knows me. I previously have a Cube Tank before I transfer here in Africa.

My tank is already 4 days old..there are already

Live rocks
Live sand
Hermit Crabs
Ghost Shrimps
Sand goby
Wild Zoas
Wild Palys

all LS are healthy all Zoas and Palys are opening
will post photos tomorrow.

And if you are doing 30% WC ever three days, chances are you probably would be on the top in terms of tank husbandry. :D Skimmer would be really unnecessary for that kind of system too. :)
Cheers,
Marty

@ Jourdy

Paps, may mga projects ako here along the coastline of Ghana, I'm building Hotels and Restaurants all over.
Matatagalan pa ako here kaya naisipan ko gawa ng pagkakaabalahan,
may tagakuha naman ng saltwater and LS may taga palit pa ng tubig kaya ok naman.

Malinis naman costal nila walang dumi kasi facing the Open Atlantic Sea.
Walang Squatters sa tabing dagat kaya malinaw tubig, di nga lang ganun kakulay nga softies nila pero may China LED
naman dito DIY nalang ako kapag sinipag.

It depends..you sure its Ghana West Africa Country? I have been to Accra and Tema once in a while but have not seen any Ghanaians interested in Saltwater..They don't have Local fish stores here selling Fresh and saltwater fishes. I live at Takoradi the 3rd and newest city yet. And it is a coastal City and still there is no local stores here selling any equipment or LS..I bought my own pump and fish nets to catch my own fishes here..

By the way Takoradi City is a 4hour drive to Accra which is the Capital City..but I often take the domestic flight. Let me know maybe Im in Accra..but I heard that there is a small village in Accra where they actually export LS to UK and US..but that I still need to look. Haven't got any free time but will surely check it out one of these days.
