OLD ARCHIVE:

Cycled some additional live rocks for my new 20g tank. I use a brand new ladies stockings with 4 pcs of raw shrimp.
Balak ko sana pa-abutin ng 4.0 yung ammonia kaso umabot ng 8.0, pero mabilis naman ito nawala kasi cycled siya together with my old cured live rocks with good bacteria in it.

Got a new 20g spray painted it with Acrylic paint.

Got a new skimmer from mr peter of aquariatech

ganda sir ah. linis. sana ganyan din 20G ko. astig yan sir. keep us updated. same lang tyo meron din akong hippo sa 20G ko. haha! super taba takaw kasi sa pellet at nori. lagi bundat si "dori".

question: san mostly galing LS nyo sir? thanks.

ahh ok..hindi ko pa po kasi nasusubukan magtarget feed ng LPS...ang meron kasi ako eh ung DIY food ni sir Shandy, try ko nga pakainin plate, open brain at acans ko mamaya..

good to hear na nag work ang target feeding sa corals mo, nag ka plate kasi ako noon pero ayaw kumain ng food, nice, clown fish na taga bigay ng food sa plate mo, nasusubo naman ba ng plate yung food? if not, siguro bugawin mo ng turkey baster yung clown fish mo hangang ma digest ng plate ang food akala siguro ni nemo anemone yung plate mo :lol:

once a week lang pakain bro ha, small tank lang tayo pareho baka tumaas nitrate if ever. :wink:

may nakita naman akong nasubo na little pieces, the rest eh kinain na nung clown, oo I just need to get myself a turkey baster, wala kasi ako makita sa SM dito the last time I checked. Un nga rin problema ko parang masyado pa young tank ko para sa bubble tip or carpet anemone kaso nabasa ko rin kasi na masyado delicate plate corals para paghostan ng clowns..

yep, gumawa na ko schedule na 1 night before water change ang feeding time ng corals.

kamusta pala nitrate control ng mangroves sir? may comparison ka ba ng chaeto at mangroves?

wala ako chaeto mangroves lang :lol:

dati nasa 20 yung nitrates ko bumaba to ng 10ppm nung nag water change ako same day when I add my new skimmer, sa pagkaka alam ko kasi dapat fully grown na yung roots ng mangroves to give it's full effect as a nitrate & Phosphate reducer at dapat daw may leaves na. pag nag zero nitrate ako after a few weeks/months, post ko agad dito para may basis tayo lahat kung effective talaga ang mangroves. mga 6 months pa siguro hihihi gaya ng nabasa ko sa ibang forum at mas maganda kung meron ka both mangroves and chaeto kasi never ending debate yan sa ibang forums. :lol:
