I have always wanted to have a tank large enough and worthy of this section, this is it.

After accomplishing tons of documents for the construction and bank loans of the house, now I have the final start date, November 17. Construction will last for 7 months so I have around 9 months from today for the tank build.

It's been a year since I started, from 50g to 100g then another 50g. I have learned the basics with the help our our masters and gurus in RP. I have managed somehow my nitrate and phosphate via water change, chaeto, gfo and biopelets. Now, I'm trying my luck again in SPS to learn the art of balancing alkalinity, calcium and magnesium via dosing.

I will document this build as detailed as possible to:
1. Get comments and suggestions from the experts.
2 Have a comprehensive guide for other reefers on how to build a large tank.

The Plan:

- Size: 360g 96x30x30 1/2 inch thick glass
- In-wall design. I prefer a tank instead of a tv in the living room
- SPS dominated since I want to put angels together with my tangs
- Bean animal overflow using 1 1/2 inch pipes. I already got 6x 1 1/2 inch
bulkheads.
- DIY leds with 234 3W LEDs equivalent to 702W total. I already have 6x 66W inventronics, 6x 42W inventronics, leds and lense, etc.
- Water mixing station for easier water change. Already got an RO from Wilcon.
- lots of live rocks on the sump. I will also try DIY rocks

Its 1 1/2" bulkheads right? You might want to add a fishroom at the back.. Maybe the sump is at the back also..

Yup, 11/2. Napansin ko din hehe. Parang may fishroom sya na ang access sa labas ng house tapos may access din sa harap. I will post drawings later

Re DIY rocks, go for the Perlite+Sand+Portland recipe. Oyster grit can be messy. Make sure to keep it damp as well. Cure the whole batch as long as you can before soaking it in fw.

I don't know yet how to arrange the sides. I will have frag tank, sink for washing, some equipments like controller, adaptor, RO filter, drivers, chiller etc.

Looks good! What will you be using for the stand? Wood glue mo lahat ng joints/gaps. Gamit ka rin stainless steel screws. Well worth the investment hehe

2x4 and 2x6 wood. Yup I will use wood glue. Oo nga no, dapat stainless steel screw baka kasi mag rust and bumigay katagalan. Concrete nail kaya? Thanks Seth

buhos ng slab instead of wood stand. its gonna last a lifetime but you''ll be stuck with it and its permanent

also, drainage on the floor below the tank area.

Ok din yung slab kaya lang wala pa ako nakita na reefer. Mas ok yun hindi kailangan ng chiller kasi sabi nila malamig yung bato. Yup, noted on the drain.
