tank temp. problems

My tank went up to 84 degrees a few times this past summer, No problems at all. Weather is a little cooler now and my tank peaks at about 79. No chiller.

easy to keep temp low from that part of the world. water temp here is already at 29 to 30C. water only. no pumps, no lights yet.

guys yesterday i turned off my pump (2200 lph), ung pump na gamit ko for my overhead filter, i noticed laki ng binaba ng temp ko, 29 na lang sya, not unlike kapag may pump fluctuating 31-32...Plano ko tuloy wag ko ng buksan ulit, leaving my skimmer as the only form of filtration sa tank...Ok lang ba to, wat do u think mga bossing?

ano ba ang tank specs mo? lagay mo sa signature, boss.

kung malaki kasi, at maraming isda, kulang yun. kung reef, lalong kulang yun. and, yung OHF mo ano laman?

35 gal FOWLR (about 20 kilos), laman ng overhead ko puro crushed corals na lang, ung bulak na filter, gumagamit din ako nun, pero not all the time, once in a while lng...air driven lng ung skimmer ko...7 fishes na puro damsel, except for one clown fish...tnx! :wink:

u dont really need a low temp for fowlr. i suggest you still use the OHF, for filtration and added aeration. pero tama ginawa mo, wala ng floss filter

sirs ung tank ko temp range nya ay 28.5-30.5.. with 2 pumps running and 2 lights on.. pinakastable temp is 29.5. ok na kaya to? or should i strive to make it lower pa? tnx.

tank temperature is not a problem even if you have a temperature of 31 degrees celsius for fish only tank. during summer, you can try putting small electricfan in your sump tank during daytime. sa gabi naman ok lang kahit walang fan. your tank lights should be turned on for a maximum of 6-8 hours. with this you can divide the light hours during daytime, para hindi palagi naka on at hindi masyado mag init. the mere fact that you have a good filtration system then more or less hindi masyado magkaka problem yung tank temp. mu. but for reef keepers from what i've read kailangan medyo mababa talaga ang temp.
