Standard aquarium glass has a higher iron content which imparts a slight green tinge. Starfire glass is crystal clear because it has a lower iron content. It has the best natural colour rendition possible and the best quality of light transmission. In essence, a very clear aquarium glass.. You can tell the difference by looking at the glass on the side edge, regular glass will look greenish and you will not be able to see through to the other side. With Starfire glass, you can see throught to the other side edge with a slight green tinge.
