unless you put that thing in freshwater, liverocks will not "die." (well, given that it is live when you got it). i guess cycling ka pa lang? then this is probably some diatom outbreak, which is normal. san ka bumili ng LR? you should get turbo snails na rin

sir i've been cycling my tank almost 2 weeks na, last week ko lang nilagay yun liverock tpos ngayon pa lang ako bbli ng fish. Binili ko yun live rock sa cartimar yun may-ari matanda na bali sya ang pumili ng mga liverock kasi beginner lang ako di pa ako marunong pumili.

Tanong ko na rin saan ba ako makakabili na quality fishes sa cartimar anong shop kaya???

Yes, great suggestions Jolt(sometimes I forget the basics), turbo snails and hermit crabs as your first line of defense and cleaup crew for algae control. No, don't buy shrimps yet.

Hmmmm, were the rocks in saltwater when you bought them? How much waterflow goes through the rocks. If the colour comes off, it could just be diatoms as Jolt had mentioned, if it comes off in sheets, it is most likely cyanobacteria.

At 2 weeks, your tank is still cycling, I suggest you do not add any fish yet until your water tests zero ammonia and zero nitrites. Just keep your skimmer on and give it good circulation and add an airstone to speed up the cycling.

The pics all look pink, even the sand. Do you have red lights over your tank?

BTW, what water do you use and what's the specific gravity? Well, it is definetly not coralline algae forming.

i agree with jolt and fugu. don't add any fish yet so kung sa second week ka pa nagadd ng liverocks it means na first week pa lang ng cycling yung tank mo. get test kits para sure ka na walang ng ammonia or kung me nitrates siya. 6 weeks cycling or kung makakapgtiis ka 2 8 weeks cycling.

The liverock is in the salt water when i bought them. I'm using salt water mix yun kulay blue lam ko ammonia and nitrate free nakasulat doon sa bag is this true? sir yun waterflow ba yun ba yun movement ng tubig sa ibabaw kung tama 1 showa submerge pump lng gamit ko pag dalawa kasi sobrang lakas ng movement kahit yun 2 maliit lang na submerge pump malakas pa rin.

Sir kng turbo snails muna ang biihin ko kasi sabi mo naglilinis ng algae yun mga ilan kya pra sa 50 gal.

Okay na ba ganito karami yun liverock o dagdagan ko pa
