Cowrie eating coral?

Hi Guys, need your expertise. I've read an article kasi na some cowrie snails eat corals. Also un din sabi sa akin ni Graff11and I actually have one and just got a few corals yesterday from him. Here is the pic of the Cowrie. Can anyone identify this and verify if this eats corals? sorry dami kasing klase ng cowrie d ko mahanap tong exact color nya sa net.

Paglagay ko ng corals parang ung iba dinidikitan nya but im not sure kung kinakain nya (GSP and Zoas) pero wala namang nasisirsa sa corals inoobserve ko kasi cya nakakatakot lng pag pumapasok kasi ko sa office naiiwan ko cyang ganun naiisip ko baka paguwi ko disaster maabutan ko..

For cowrie snails you always treat it with caution when it comes to reef compatibility. medyo hit or miss yan. but based on my experience the one who had tendency to nip on corals eh yung Tiger cowry. it made one of my blasto as its early breakfast buffet.hehe.. it's been in my tank for 6 months without any interest sa corals then just one snap bigla na lang lumamon ng blasto.out of 10 heads ng blasto, 2 na lang ata ang natira. if you are eager to have cowries then you should go to Money Cowry or Chestnut Cowry na mga species, they are the most common and less tendency na magkainterest sa corals. hth

i think LYNX COWRIE yang iyo bro. same behaviour as Tiger Cowrie. bantay bantayan mo lang. pag may simulang galawin na coral itapon mo na agad sa sump. hehe..

Mukhnag coral muncher iyan. Lahat ng lumalaking cowries may tendency talagang umulam ng corals or zoanthids.

It's called Mauritia arabica, arabian cowrie.
